Our Role
As an 11/33/132kV Cable team Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the construction of a large capital project. This includes on site safety as part of the principle contractor team, construction compliance with the design, CDM and Safety management and Highways management.
This will include supervising the construction teams including weekly measures, safety management and CDM, programming and scheduling Performance management for the construction teams, Quality Assurance, public relations whilst monitoring the overall site progress.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll have experience working on large cable projects including 11/33/132kV. Experience of onsite construction work is important as is the understanding of the electrical substation work of a complex cable scheme. You'll understand the financial and reporting aspects of high volume high value project teams. A minimum ONC in a relevant subject is preferred, in addition to experience in this field with a DNO or a supplier to the industry.
Excellent communication skills and previous experience in applying the Construction Design will prove key to this role. Management Regulations 2015 to technically complex projects would be highly advantageous. There will be a requirement to work to tight timescales and provide first class customer service at all stages of the project; therefore, the ability to thrive under pressure is essential. It is also important that you have an eye on long term development and are able to identify and implement innovative and effective business improvements.
