We’re a global business, with 170,000 employees worldwide, delivering waste, water and energy solutions. We’re helping our customers preserve scarce resources, reduce pollution and protect our environment.
But how do we do it?
By collecting and transforming both household and industrial waste, serving millions of customers. We work with local authorities to serve 8 million residents across the country, as well as commercial customers such as McDonalds and Asda.
By offering expertise in the sustainable management of water resources. Our work helps to battle three major issues: pollution, shortage and climate change.
By developing services that help to reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint. Our combined heat and power solutions serve commercial businesses, the public sector and communities.
Our mission is to 'Resource the world', but it takes more than just ambition. It takes the daily efforts of thousands of people across the UK to bring it to life. With 14,000 employees across the UK serving millions of customers, there’s a huge variety of roles available at Veolia - there’s something for everyone.
Apprenticeships and graduates: We have over 350 apprentices across the UK across a wide range of disciplines - whether it’s engineering or LGV driving to business administration or even helping to manage our huge fleet of vehicles.
Operative roles: Our operatives are the biggest part of our workforce and work on a range of sites across the UK. This could be alongside local councils helping to deliver effective waste collection services, onsite ensuring the safe movement and processing of materials or even driving our Light/Heavy Goods vehicles.
Technical roles: We rely on technical expertise to drive innovation and maintain our hundreds of sites across the UK. Technical roles could include electrical or mechanical engineers who maintain plants, equipment or vehicles, or chemists who help us ensure environmental compliance. We also have a central team who are responsible for the design, construction and testing of new infrastructure.
Corporate functions: Corporate functions such as HR, IT, Finance and Sales form an integral part of our workforce. Together, these teams are providing the services that the rest of the organisation need to work effectively and efficiently.
